First there was a...frame??

Today I still want to show what the project beginn with.
A frame I picked up on a "xs400 parts tour" don't know where and when, but for years I pulled it across all corners of my garage when it stands in the way.
Now I think its time for show more attention for it.
Allover dirty cobwebbed and light rusty. But no problem, I took this^^
I seem to remember there was a matched engine to this frame but not sure. Got a car in the garage for sell blocking the way to many parts.

Here some pics of the frame I choose, a frame that waiting for years for attention:

This was for today...

YAMAHA XS400 Project Is not dead

NOTHING IS DEAD!!
After a three-year long wrench break, I spend with my growup daughter and other things, I'm back...and theres nothing dead.
My YAMAHA project lives, and I'm happy to present it here as the first one, couse for long time it exist as stored parts.

But first a "Cut-Version" of the Yamaha story.
About four years ago I picked up a very fucked up YAMAHA...XS400 allover rusty, headlight full of water and a broken engine...
I wanted to do a cafe racer of it...then I ripped all the stuff appart and meanwhile some parts arrived in my garage. I don't cout them but I think at this time I have four XS400 frames, four engines (not all working and checked), many rims, clipons, and so on...
"Then our daughter was born and it came to a break"
Today I'm here and want to restart this XS400 project...but it does not have to be a cafe racer anymore, today I note it must not be a low mounted Cafe clipon anymore.Thats my feeling today and this way I do it, maybe tomorrow its Caferacer again who knows ;))
I just want to collect part after part and make a cool to ride bike for myself and whats feeling right.
-To be continued-

Enjoy
I'm happy about bike-friends all over the world and of course about every comment^^
